Yes! You are welcome to book a solo trip. All of our trips are private so the surfer to guide ratio will be 1:1 allowing for us to tailor the trip 100% to you.
Absolutely! As long as you have already been taught the basics and you feel comfortable being in the water starting to ride soft & friendly waves, then you can book! All trips are 100% tailored to you and what you feel comfortable with, so we will ensure to search for waves within your ability.
Yes. For under 18 surfers, we just require consent from a parent / guardian for them to book a trip.
Our guide, Callum R-B, is an experienced Kiwi who has spent the past 10 years adventuring, learning, guiding, teaching, and working in the outdoors across New Zealand.
Not all the time! It does indeed have that reputation. We can get world-class 4-6ft barrels, or we can get glassy, soft 1-3ft log waves. The best part about the West Coast is the huge variety and the fact there are waves for everyone - you just need to know the spots!
We will start to get an idea of the surf forecast for the start of your trip at about 7-10 days prior. We will then spend the next week monitoring the swell systems where each new day gives us more accurate information. 2-3 days prior to your trip, we should have a solid plan of action. For longer 7-14 trips, we'll continue to forecast throughout our time together to make sure we're on track for the best possible itinerary.
If surf conditions are not ideal on the West, East, or South Coasts, we offer alternative activities like sea-kayaking or hiking. We can also arrange activities with other providers to ensure you have a great experience.
